When I saw Ronovan’s prompt for this weeks’ haiku ‘ Breeze & Blow’ an immediate chuckle escaped my lips. My mind automatically transported itself to an Igbo adage that is often used back home.
The adage signifies a general truth that whatever is hidden will certainly come to light with time.
We’ve got a certain silly saying that;
when the steady breeze blows
we will see the fowls exposed buttock.

I vote that this wonderful phrase be immediately adopted into Standard English, be taught in all our UK schools, and be used at least once a week by our top parliamentary correspondents on television news broadcasts.
Can’t wait for an appropriate opportunity to slip this into conversation myself.
How I love expressive language 😊 Hope you have some more gems like this.

Hi Jackie,
Lol… I agree with you “When breeze blow, fowl yansh go open” is a most apt caption for that photograph. XD
Indeed, what’s done in the dark will eventually be exposed for the truth to prevail.
I haven’t been here in so long, missed your delightful content. Ah, I ought shake off this lazy blogger funk.
