I saw this little one and his siblings in a garden pond. I walked past without noticing initially because they blended with the rocks, till a bubble in the water drew my attention. They are totally pint-sized and interesting to look at.

I did know whether tortoises spent a lot of time swimming were as I know terrapins do and terrapins can have a nasty bite!! 😶

I think it could be a turtle, because s/he’s in water. We have tortoises in our garden and I have to look really hard to find them, I can see how you nearly missed him/her. I love the stripey legs. 🙂

Ha,ha! I guess his nails are to help him grab and hold on while he eats ever so slowly.
