He admires the style of her hair.
Leaning over, he inhales,
They smell like fresh cut summer flowers.

The tweed jacket is out of style,
She clings to it nonetheless,
It reminds her of fathers fresh cologne.

I really like the second one, with the father’s cologne invoking memories of him – I can relate to this.

Ever notice how some scents can bring forth certain memories that were filed deep into your subconsciousness mind? Memories that were seemingly forgotten? Kinda like an old song you haven’t heard in awhile….funny how that happens.

Very, very true. Some scents evoke memories of my late grandma and music brings my dad to the forefront.
