Help Somebody!.. I know WordPress Engineers are hibernating, so I am turning to you.

Please can someone tell me where Freshly Pressed has run off to?

I can’t seem to find the freshly pressed articles anymore or is it no longer part of WP platform?

I know it was re-baptized sometime ago but where is it?

Is something wrong with my blog?

I think there might be a worm chewing up my stuff ‘cos,

– I have lost my Re-Blog button somewhere. Could you check to see if it came over to visit at your end and is still stuck there?

HELP ASAP. If you know how I can find my re-blog button and Freshly Pressed, do share your advise.

Pretty Please. With a cherry on top.

Thank you.

Jacqueline

  1. I’m not sure but I think they changed the name from Freshly Pressed to Press This. As for the Reblog button, it’s generally located next to the Like button near the bottom of the post. Hope this helps. 🙂

  2. Oh, oh, I know the answer to this question. That’s so rare for anything to do with WordPress. They replaced Freshly Pressed with something called Discover. It’s pretty much the same idea, though. You can find it from the reader screen. 🙂

      1. I know what you mean. They also changed the screen for managing followers a while ago and now it’s much less convenient for me than it used to be.

Incidentally, sorry about your reblog button. I don’t think you dropped it in my blog, though. 🙂

  3. My te log button disappears too, in spite of the settings. I can make it come back by editing the post way down at the bottom. Cancel the show likes setting, save, then reclick and save again. Tedious but it seems to work. Hope that helps until WP fix it all properly.

      1. I hope it helps. Someone else may have an easier remedy, but I have found this to work. There are a few frustrating blips in WP at the moment. But nothing is perfect and finding solutions is just part of the rich tapestry of Life. 😂😂😂

        Have a great day

  4. As a relative newbie on here – I do find it mildly amusing WordPress finds the need to add / change features on a whim. I suppose its to keep those who pay for the service happy, but if they were after a web provider – wouldn’t they go to an actual web service?

    1. They actually do help a lot and have been very helpful to me over time. The are on vacation till tomorrow or next I think. Usually when I find myself in a sticky position, I yell and they answer. The changes must be for some reason that they understand better than you and I. Thank you for your comments and good luck in blogland 🙂

  5. Dear Jacqueline, I wish I could help to fix this for you but am still trying to find my way around WP and hope you’d get help ASAP. Talking about help, you’ve been a great help to me and WP even noticed the much support you have given me. I want to say a big thank you for being among the Top Five Commenters on my blog – in the 2015 review by WP. Wow! I appreciate you sincerely and hope you will find some moments, to stop by again and see how I’ve progressed. 🙂 You have been a great inspiration. God bless you abundantly this year. 🙂

  6. your reblog button is working now! yay! I spent way too long (I become obsessed) searching for the reblog thing myself last week…AND in my blogging travels recently I also found some bloggers talking about this very thing…they couldn’t find the reblog button.

I love WordPress, and always get help when I need it–but it isn’t always instantaneous…which is a problem for this instant-gratification girl. 🙂 It is good when in an active community of bloggers that are often online, and that I know them well enough to ask dumb questions. 🙂

      1. even using the kindle fire is a pain…but my laptop is too cumbersome to balance on my lap. I like to keep my son company watching tv, so I use the little tablet. It makes a lot of mistakes. 🙂

      2. Oh dear! Such moments need to be captured. I hope there will be a next time. Which reminds me, I have a power bank that is always fully charged just in case I have to go out for hours on end. They are quite cheap and very useful too 🙂

      3. good plan. I rarely forget my camera, and try to keep it charged. We took some pics of the game with my son’s phone, but since I had no idea how to operate it we have to depend on his shots…
