The circus came to town. Lizzy wished to go, but she knew that was unlikely.
They were poor. Ma couldn’t afford such frivolities as she called it, but Lizzy’s eager heart still yearned.
As she milked Bess her friend, she confided in her.
”Oh Bess, it would be lovely to see those wonderful things that Alice described.” Bess mooed in understanding. When she was done, she patted Bess, collected eggs from Henrietta and went back to the cottage.
Bess mooed to Henrietta, who clucked to Gertrude the Gander, who quacked to Bucko the goat, who bleated to Gobbles the Turkey, until Hootensia the wise barn owl made a suggestion and they agreed to the plan.
What a wonderful time Lizzy had. Lots of fun stuff to do and bright lights too.
Her animal friends and the fairies dotted on her. They made face paints from flower petals and wove a flower tiara for Lizzy.
When she woke up, she was disappointed that it was a dream, until she saw some petals stuck in her hair and the sprinkle of gold dust on her window ledge.

Awww, I know that feeling, when one wishes that a dream was reality. Dreams are a wonderful escape, one can have all that they ever wished for when they shut their eyes and drift away.
PS: Jackie, how do you do it? I’ve become somewhat lazy about blogging, I had to give myself a pep talk today, and what do I see when I arrive at your blog? You’ve been drunk on creative juices!
Superwoman, you inspire me o. I am off to read all that I missed. 🙂

The dreamworld can definitely be intoxicating and captivating and sometimes I like to dwell there too 😉
To the other aspect is that I simply try to write everyday whatever the case may be. Sometimes, I wake up a bit earlier and do that when the house is all quiet or last thing at night; then one thing I have been doing that has helped me is to work ahead. I take out a day or two where I put in so many hours creating drafts of the different ideas in my head and on days when I feel lazy or inundated with work, I use those drafts. It could be a quote, a poem a short story. Jisike and please don’t stop.
