May we pause to think about refugees who are presently in precarious situations that are not of their own making.

Most illegal immigrants are really refugees. I live near enough to the Mexican border to know what is really happening there and it isn’t what the media paints. America’s love for drugs is a big part of what has fueled the devastation of innocent people’s lives south of the border but we refuse to take any responsibility. I do want legal immigration! I want protection for those innocent people dying in the desert trying to escape the rule of drug lords and a war more devastating than in Iraq. Few people know that the southern AZ border is in effect been moved 75 miles north because it is so dangerous down there that those who dare to venture there do so at their own risk. It’s really past time for molding this agonizing tragedy into political footballs when innocent lives hang in the balance. it’s time for repentance and practical compassion. Let’s starve out the drug lords by changing our bad habits and let’s make immigration legal and safe.
Sorry…this is an issue near and dear to my heart…

Pam, I perfectly understand your feelings. It is something that equally gets me very upset, sad and annoyed at human race.

I’m always frustrated because what gets reported in the media and talked about by the politicians is about ten years behind the reality of what’s taking place…I can’t help but believe that all those billions of dollars made by drug and human trafficking aren’t part of the reason why. That corruption is moving rapidly moving northward and Americans could very well find themselves as the next refugees…and we aren’t the only ones, it is happening all over the world.

It is all over the place and I wonder why no solution seems to be forthcoming.
