Valuable Thoughts From Others

Eugenia “You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.:-Maya Angelou

Martha L. Shaw: This quote resonates with me! We never walk alone! I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. Psalm 32:8 ESV

Willowdot: A beautiful affirmation!

Senoorway: I wish life would be that simple, but if you’re not a multi-millionaire for a start, there are duties to perform and chores to be done – just about every day in your life.
If you have children (or pets) it doubles up. An ideal dream, perhaps, but at least my world isn’t nearly there! Not by a looong shot! And I’ve been working at it for soon 82 years!

Thelonelyauthorblog: Beautiful post. Love the promise to self-love. More people need to make that promise.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 47

I am committed to the promises that I made to myself. The promise of self-love. The promise to take better care of myself, body, mind, and spirit. The promise to appreciate myself. The promise to hold on to my dreams and to give them my best shots. The promise not to let the past be an anchor that holds me down. The promise to keep a positive mind and to let love be my compass.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 44

I am filled with enthusiasm. Thoughts of continuous personal development, growth and success make my spirit hum with excitement and joy.

I have some good news for you. No matter where you are in your career, or in your life, there’s always a chance to start over. Your age is not an excuse and should not be used as a reason to stop you from going after what you want. It is never ever too late to achieve those dreams.

Stay in relentless pursuit of your dreams. Keep working to make them a reality. Don’t allow pessimism and negative self-talk override your possibilities. Remember that time is nothing more than time. Time has no power to determine whether your dreams are possible or not. You, however, have all the power you need to make them come true.

The day I stop chasing my dreams is the day that I die. As I grow older, I realize that I have no plans to stop dreaming and to become everything that I envisaged.

These Beautiful Shared Thoughts Below Make Me Smile:

Rotimi Elijah: Hmm…. Insightful and thoughtful. God is always there for us all.

DancingPalmTrees: I totally agree with you 100%. There are many days when all I can afford to eat are a bagel and some ramen noodles but something is better than nothing therefore I am blessed.

Eugenia: I’ve had my struggles through life but somehow, I’ve always managed to make ends meet. Though I am not very religious, I’ve always felt God’s presence. I feel believing is the first step toward surviving.

PamelaS.Canepa. Writing and Living: Beautiful! A most memorable Bible quote that I hold onto, especially in times of anxiety or worry, is “Be still and know that I am God.” How else could we quiet the mind, and mine certainly needs quieting most days!

DancingPalmTrees: I digress but just want to share this 11 year old Da Vinci of Nigeria.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 42

I am teaching my mind to cease from focusing on the things that I can’t do, or the limitations that stand in my way of doing them. I just keep showing up to do what needs to be done.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge Day 41

I am convinced that the lines will fall in pleasant places for me.

Innumerable times I fall into a mental state of despair over how things are not happening the way that I planned them. It seems like a dance of three steps forward and ten steps back and I keep wondering if the steps will ever align and if things will roll as I wish, then I catch little glimmers of hope – little blessings that tell me that I’m on the right path even when it doesn’t look like it.

In such times I take deep breaths and the time to appreciate how far I’ve come, knowing that so long as I walk with God, I will surely reach my destination.

What About You? Affirmation Challenge 40

I am relentless and prepared to go the extra miles needed to achieve my goals.

If achieving our dreams came easy, we all would be on cloud nine. For every dream and ambition that we have, it takes unwavering focus, consistent effort and staunch faith to hang in there even when it seems as if we are swimming upstream. The important thing is not to give up. Keep pushing until something happens.

What About You? Positive Affirmation Day 39

I am thankful for what is and letting what could have been rest where it lies.

Learning to let go of all the ‘oh I should have,’ and the ‘ what could have happened if so and so,’ is a mind-bending task. Dwelling on the possible outcomes of past incidents if certain actions were taken instead, is a pure waste of precious time and energy. It has happened and can’t be reversed. The thing about regret is that it’s a state of mind and you choose it.

Check out these quotes:

Eugenia “It is good to have an end to journey towards; but it is the journey that matters, in the end.”
—Ursula K. Le Guin, The Left Hand of Darkness

DancingPalmTrees: I found a great link from the Daily Word on how we think about ourselves. I’ve been trying to change my negative self talk for years. So far no success as negative expression feelings and emotions have made a home in my soul and spirit. This constant negative chatter in my head has caused me to devalue myself and slowly retreat. I’ve become more withdrawn. As my personal demons are deeply rooted and entrenched.

However I still wish to help others.
