My Thinking Corner

Tuesdays Trickles…My Thinking Corner #23

Every Tuesday, I share snippets of thoughts that I call ‘My Thinking Corner.’

I would like to invite you to participate. The challenge is quite simple.

Each Tuesday, share your very short snippets of positive, inspiring, motivating, health, spiritual, writing advice, clips, posts etc, that can serve as a prop to motivate others and simply add my link to your post.

I call it my thinking corner because, I actually take out a bit of time just to think through things, encapsulate my thoughts as much as possible and detoxify my mind. It helps give me clarity of vision and might help you too.

It might work for you in a different way, but the idea is to get the positive thoughts flowing.

Please send in your little thoughts. You never know whose life you might inspire.

♥ There’s a lot going on in life to be bothered with the noisome pettiness of things that aren’t worth the time of your life. Let go and move on!

♥ When you impart positive knowledge you influence eternity. You have no idea where the influence ends due to its ripple effects. Don’t stop imparting.

♥ Practice kindness for Providence never forgets.

♥  Who will change it? It’s you and I.

♥ Your plans are not as important as what you’ve done. Get doing!

Today’s thoughts came in from beautiful thinkers:

Killing fear: I like letting quotes like this sink in and repeat.

Step by step leap: Rosema keep’s it sweet and straight to the heart.

Consideration: understand, respect…simple message, yet impactful.

Stress-free zone: Nothing like family to be there when we need them. A positive vibe filled post.

I hope that you find these little drops useful now and again. Do check them out and please share snippets of your thoughts with us.

Thanks and blessed be.

Below is my first just published Poetry Book “Out of the silent breath” which is available on Amazon and Smashwords.

When you buy my book, you support me in an invaluable manner.

Out of the silent breath

Brand me whole as only you can

that the entire score of me

knows nothing but the fullness of you.

Sometimes, it pours heavily….

Today, I have so much to say, yet I fail to know where to start from.

Life is such that we honestly have no inclination what the next hour will bring our way, much less the next day, week or year.

Our lives hang in the daily delicate balance of providence and most times, we don’t get to chose what happens to us, but the only thing that we can choose is how to react to the curves on the path of our journey and not losing grip of ourselves.

We also get to choose friends who journey along with us on life’s path and a whole lot of times, they serve as a prop and support on those shaky days.

My heart knows a lot of thanks for the restoration of health of my family members and an enormous sense appreciation for the huge outpouring of gracious wishes from all of you on my birthday on Sunday.

Your thoughts warmed me.

Regardless of the fact that online relationships may appear untenable due to it’s nature, we should never fail to appreciate or undermine the strength and support that we have in our friends and we truly have no idea the beautiful far reaching effects of these friendships.

Just hold on…

Providence places some people in our paths for a reason.

In these times that we live in, we meet new people every day,

Not necessarily through the traditional means of meeting people.

The social media, even though it has its downsides,

Has more upsides when it is used in the right manner,

It can serve as a medium of meeting decent people,

And many more advantageous reasons to it as well.

Evaluate your intentions for wanting to connect with other people.

Could it be that you intend to hide behind the impersonal shroud that the sticky web offers?

Or are you willing to take off the mask and let the real you shine through?

In any case, whatever your intents are:

Hold on fast to those friends that you meet and make in your sojourns,

Those friends that make you smile,

Hold on to those friends that make you quake in laughter,

To those friends that make you think twice,

and want to be better than you are,

Hold on to those friends whose wisdom shines through,

Through their sage, twinkly eyes and,

far more than their glinting grey hairs,

Hold on fast to those friends who are in tune with themselves,

Because my friend, it takes a lot to get there.

To friends who can educate you,

Beyond the level that you already know,

Hold on to those friends, with whom you can be the real you,

To those friends who might shake their heads in rebuke,

Because, sometimes even though we don’t like it,

Sometimes, rebuke is a an expression of love.

To those friends who are willing to share from their bounty of wealth,

in their knowledge, in their smiles, in their wisdom, in kind and the likes,

To friends old and new, traditional and modern,

Young in age and old at heart,

Old in age and young at heart,

Just hold on to them all,

Because I tell you my friend, they all have their purpose,

Each and every single one of them.

“The test of friendship is not about those that you have known for ages, but about those who crossed your path and are stuck to your side”.
