Well, well, this week’s haiku prompt ‘Blow & Please’ simply made me think of all the recent politically stirred madness going on out there.
Let’s keep calm people, these trying times will surely pass.

Please, keep calm, don’t blow your lid,
for a broken, sick mind
is certainly not that easy to repair.

A dictator has lost his senses
please, fetch the doctor
before he blows us all up.

For some reason, when I saw Ronovan’s Haiku prompt for this week, my thought went to resilience. We may be making efforts and at first, it seems like nothing is happening, but with persistence, we will certainly see good results.

Though silent still waters flow
with persistent effort
it tears down hardened rocks.

Ronovans’ Haiku prompt ‘Flame & Kiss’ is setting the tone for Valentine, wink, wink 😉

He stole a quick kiss
setting her all afire
with lingering flames of desire

I laughed out loud when I saw Ronovan’s prompt ‘car & coast’ for the weekly haiku. I had just written a post about road trips and my desire to travel, so it’s in sync 🙂

Get into the car
to simply coast
with nowhere in mind.

Ronovan writes weekly haiku challenge – Gold & Sing

Life in the jungle is brutal
The Cheetah pursued with power and grace
The gazelle raced for her life

The race is not to the fleet,
neither power, a free gift
but wisdom from above trumps them all.

Join us at Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge. For this week’s prompt, he gave us Creep & Race and I couldn’t resist taking a bite 😉
The big old grandfathers’ clock struck midnight
The witching hour crept by
hearts raced under the blanket in terror.
A distant howl tore into the silent night
the creepy crawlies salivated greedily
racing to plant their fangs’ in frenzy.
