Trodden Soil…

Beaten Path, Poetry, Trodden, Route

I feel you and I
have walked this path,

long ago in the past
where precisely, I don’t know.

I see the beaten route
in the trodden soil

and your words touch me
without your knowing it

they echo in my soul
where I know I’ve heard them before.

Storytelling…

Stand alone, quotes, storytelling, writing, chasing your dreams, experience, living

Never stop telling your stories.
Even if your ears
are the only ones
to hear them.

Dear Mister…

Poetry, Poor Man, Dear Mister, Sad

Dear Mister,

what were you thinking

when you sold your land

for 70 shillings and went

to town to live the good life,

only to return as a servant

to the man who purchased your land?

Letters…

letter writing, handwriting, poetry

For many years
I sent you handwritten letters

but you always say
you never got them,

the postman must be having
a good time falling in love

reading my raunchy words
and asking for more.

An Oasis…

It was a desert
but I chose to plant my dreams there,
now everyone comes to rest under my shade
for it has become an oasis

Your Words

pants, jeans, blogger, words, poetry

They say that words are cheap
but yours are simply gold

they touch me in ways I can’t explain
you enthrall me from afar

I fall in love with unknown parts of you
all I see are parts that you could be

Poetry/Poems

Flying Free – Written for a dear friend – Bernadette – who lost her beloved son.

Dear Bernadette thoughts of you and your family have been on my mind and I offer prayers for you to stay strong.

I can only imagine how deep your hurt and loss feels and I woke up this morning thinking of your son. I never knew him but through your words I did.

Remain blessed and comforted.

For Andrew – May perpetual light shine on you.

Thoughts of you infuse my heart
with bittersweet memories that leave me reeling
my silent tears seep through eyes
that beheld you through the years
my tongue yearns to tell you once more
that I love you again and again

Unspoken, my thoughts stretch
to ask the Heavens why?
I open my hands to hold the butterfly
briefly, he perched on the dandelion and now
I watch him soar into the skies
free to be, he goes beyond my eyes.

My love for you will never end
for you decorated our lives
in ways that words can’t explain
I know that you fly free and
twinkle as part of the stars.

Plots…

Image result for images of treachery

Plot slithers through the dark night

thick, restless curling fingers of treacherous webs

woven by desperate  men

who prefer to imbibe the witches brew of hatred

instead of drinking deep from cups of peace.

As Dusk Approaches…

Dimly lit, the whisper of dusk

invites the night,

reminding me that

this day will never happen again.

Moment by Moment

Moment by Moment, Grace, Abundance

In the present

there is abundance,

there is joy,

there is  favour,

there is divine,

there is mercy,

there is grace,

there is peace,

In the present

there is fullness.

Be present in your present.
