His fingers caressed the Sax with fondness.
Tears pricked his eyes as he remembered.
The faint sounds of ghostly play echoed in his head and in the house.
Everything was now covered in a film of dust.
Touching his dad’s Sax once more, he packed it back in it’s old box and walked out of the house for the last time, into the bright afternoon Sun.

I love this story, Jacqueline…it brought tears to my eyes. My brain wouldn’t quit at the end though, and wondered why he didn’t take his Dad’s sax with him…. LOL This is a nice start to the New Year 2016! see you in A-Z 101 next week?

Oh, that is lovely! Saw the fire on the news and told my friends, my friend, Jackie, will know what happened, and I saw the coverage on your blog this morning. I love having friends all over the world now!

It is really a blessing to have friends from all over. I am sure if someone had told me that the place would be on fire, I wouldn’t have gone. It was quite a scary moment and interesting to watch.

I can imagine. It was very cool for me to be able to say, “well, I have this friend in Dubai who blogs and I’ll ask her what happened” at least from what I read there were no deaths, right?

Awww, this is so touching.
Only five sentences, yet as heavy as a ton. I imagined his childhood, I imagined his father, I even imagined his mother dancing happily as his father played the sax.
Words are so magical.
You are so talented! 🙂
