Everyone has a light and dark side
sometimes, our darkness runs deep
then a ray of light interrupts it.

When I saw the haiku prompt please & tease, Chaka Demus song ‘tease me, tease me, tease me, baby, till I lose control,’ came to my lips, I knew my prompt had to be musical.

Bachata is a riveting dance
its sensual moves teases all the senses
and certainly, pleases the heart

She called herself a realist,
believing in only what she could explain,

Miracles do happen. Every day.
My days,
I must shape
with a sharp blade.
To cut
wasting good moments,
and losing many edges.

When I saw Ronovan’s prompt for this week’s haiku ‘plain & fast’ I didn’t know where to go with it so I left it and went to brew myself a cup of something to drink.
I don’t know if it’s the cheap cup of homemade Cappucino that I am sipping, but as I stood by the kitchen counter pondering over something that’s being going on in my life in recent days, a thought just whispered into my ear ‘life is plain and simple, but we choose to complicate it and lose finding the beauty in every situation when we are in such a hurry to get past an uncomfortable experience.’ That was my answer right there 🙂
So, thanks to the little God of Thoughts and my cup of Cappucino.
In plain thoughts, life is a puzzle,
with no hard and fast rules.
Enjoy it as you fit the pieces.

When I saw ‘leap & throb’ as the prompt for Ronovan’s weekly haiku challenge, my mind went to the age-old caution of look before you leap.
Sometimes, I guess we just have to take chances in life especially when it comes to love.

Telling you to look before you leap,
is only a sensible advice,
to prevent breaking parts that will throb.
She leaped into love in such haste,
that she regretted such mistake,
her broken heart throbbed from painful deceit.

You are the love of my life.
I knew I loved you,
the first time my eyes beheld yours.

When I saw this week’s prompt ‘beautiful & curse,’ by Ronovan, I smiled. Easier than the past two weeks. What I wanted to write sprouted so fast in my mind.
