Mundane Monday

Caught in The Hood

Mundane Monday Challenge is created to find beauty in almost everything.

The challenge is simple. Find beauty in everyday mundane things, capture the beauty and upload the photographs.

Protective Gear, Motorbike, Photograph

I stepped out of the car and saw the bikers protective gear and simply couldn’t resist playing with the hood.

I stuck my face in the reflective shield and took a couple of snaps. The owner had an amusing smile on his face, I bet he thought I was cuckoo.

The truth is that I’ve always loved big bikes from a distance but my nerves are yet to allow me to learn how to ride one.

  1. To borrow a line from Lady Macbeth,”…. but screw your courage to the sticking-place.” Go get the wind in your face.

I was at the post office a few days ago and saw a guy, full biker regalia, helmet with full face visor, wheel his Harley into the handicapped parking. He dismounted, deployed a collapsible cane and then took off his helmet and limped toward the entrance. From all appearances he was well beyond retirement age but was still “scooting.” Go on and cross it off your bucket list.

  2. Great shot Jacqui! I can’t ride a motorbike but all three of my brother have them! One of them has a tin bath for a sidecar which is a bit scary to ride in! Other than that I love being on the back of a bike. 🙂
