She is amazing at describing love and life in her poems. She creates such beautiful images with her words. Truly, she is a talented writer and I’m so excited to have her poetry book and to continue reading through it.

It’s a frustrating post. I hate to think of myself as brain washed into being a consumer. I want out of the consumer lifestyle. Go live in a forest somewhere and truly live but shopping can be like a drug.

It’s called retail therapy 😉

So true. So much advertising, I feel a bit like Daisy. Shopping can be addictive when it’s around us all the time but generally I like to think I have a bit of control.

We slipped a bit into want-shopping, perusing the clearance shelves every time we went to the local market. Our initial objective was to get out of the house, exercise and pick up what we needed on the way. Last week I noticed we linger around the store much longer than before and spending was on the rise. For years I stayed on budget by purchasing from my NEEDS list and only strayed when something vastly reduced practically jumped off the shelf at me. This week I’m taking back the latter strategy 🙂 Good post, Jacqueline.

I really like your strategy Roo and I’m going to work hard at keeping to my list. Thank you for the inspiration.
