Summery Blog Party Live Link…Come on in!πŸ˜ŠπŸ™ŒπŸŽ‘πŸŽΆπŸŽΌπŸπŸ•πŸ‘

Merry

Come on in, let’s get this party started. You are most welcome.

Do make yourself comfortable.

Refreshments are nicely arranged down the page: Drinks, Chocolates, Cakes, Donuts, freshly squeezed juice, Coffee, Tea and so much more. :-)

We even have an Intercontinental Chef in the house, just place your ordersπŸ˜‰

The little rules of play:

  1. You must mix and mingle with others. Don’t be a wallflower. Go say hello to someone and you can participate in the Tag a poem/story below, spot the difference, riddle and do tell us where you are partying from πŸ™‚
  2. Β Please leave your blog link or post link in the comment box below along with an introduction.
  3. It’s one link per comment, but come back as often as you’d like, that way it’s easier to focus on a link at a time for others.
  4. Please reblog, spread the word of the party like butter, or like, share on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, etc. Tell your family, friends, Β blogging neighbours, even your blogging pets.
  5. Have fun, it’s a great way to find bloggers and have them find you.
  6. Please show some love. Reblog this post. It helps all of us! The more people that see and participate in it, the more potential new follows! So, share and share voraciously!

There we have it. Since all the rules have been clearly explained, have fun and make the most of it :-)

Thank you for coming to my party and supporting my blog. You rock.

  • Let’s get to know you better. Where are you partying from?

I’m currently in Dubai – acronym DXB. A fabulous desert city in United Arab Emirates.

A little Summer tale…

We wore Summer dresses

spun like flower coloured cotton

that sat on each stalk

…….Feel free to add yours in the comment. I collate everyone’s contribution and publish it with their links attached.

Can you spot the difference?

Can you help the poor farmer below?

A poor farmer went to the market to sell some peas and lentils. However, as he had only one sack and didn’t want to mix peas and lentils, he poured in the peas first, tied the sack in the middle, and then filled the top portion of the sack with the lentils.

At the market, a rich innkeeper happened by with his own sack. He wanted to buy the peas, but he did not want the lentils.
Pouring the seed anywhere else but the sack is considered soiling.

To trade in sacks is not allowed. The farmer can’t cut a hole in his sack.
How would you transfer the peas to the innkeeper’s sack, which he wants to keep, without soiling the produce?

Please have some fun, mingle and make friends. Thank you πŸ™‚

P.S. You can send in your music request and I’ll try to find it. The Michael Jackson is on Nedoux request. Thank you, girl.

  1. Good Morning Jacqueline. Thanks once again for being a gracious host. I would like to leave a blog of my own and a friend today. My blog has poetry, fiction, and nonfiction. I’m completing #Maydays prompts right now and Writing 101 #everdayinspiration prompts.

I’m happy to say yesterday I finally, completed the last first draft chapters of my novel. They are posted in my blog and hopefully, finish things off for my main characters John and Nina, and make you interested what will happen for Jordan regarding the former villian Talise, and John’s other brother Jasper with Nina’s friend, Rianne. Please leave comments about the novel, it’s very helpful.

  2. Now to do some words for the poem tag. Also I forgot to mention: I’m from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

    A little Summer tale…

    We wore Summer dresses

    spun like flower coloured cotton

    that sat on each stalk

    Picking fluffy balls,

    My soft white hands ached,

    But this was our living.

    So everybody no matter who

    Picked the cotton

    And inside I smiled,

    Knowing in days not too

    Far away; there’d be new–

    Cotton dressers for my —

    Three Sisters and I,

    Whatever the colour or pattern,

    Brand new, latest style.

For now the four of us picked,

    In old cotton summer dresses

    Sweltering and famished .

I from England, the county of Berkshire originally from London, and the sun is shining here today and it is lovely! I shall reblog this post in a minute. Now lets look at the spot the difference :
Three seagulls in the left picture and only two in the right picture .
Flagon top of boat in left not in right ,
    Beach ball different ,
sand in bucket on left not in right,
Slice of lemon on left not in right ,
sunglasses on the sun oval in right round in left!

    We wore Summer dresses

    that sat on each stalk.

    sleeveless sundress
    golden rays
    paint her shoulders

    paint her shoulders
    tawny hues
    show off her white dress

    show off her white dress
    soft and silken
    like rose petals

    like rose petals
    soft and red
    sensual lips

      2. Ah a Labrador, my sister had one once they are so full of energy…what is your Labrador’s name? I love dogs, I had a mutt named Barney and he was the best dog, (of course, right). I read your SOCS and your About Me and ‘m going back later for more. Love your site!! I want to listen to your Soundcloud recordings. See you soon…

      3. Wow retired after 6 years huh, do you know how long guide dogs remain guide dogs, is it about 6 years? Ruby…so she’s a gem! And I’m sure she is the best dog in the world…after Barney of course…xo πŸ˜‰

      4. Lucky for you and Ruby! Well Barney is in Doggie/Animal heaven…he passed back in 2001 and for the longest time I did not want to get another dog because my heart was so broken over losing him. Now I am so ready..but I want to be home all day with him/her, so I have decided to wait until I retire which technically wouldn’t be for 7 more years but I’m hoping I win the lottery or come into some good fortune so that I can retire sooner. I’d retire today if I could!!! But I bet he’s happy, running around playing with all the other dogs, cats, rabbits, turtles and any other person or creature that might cross his path!! hee hee…xoxo

  4. Thanks so much for the invite, Jacqueline. My blog is titled “We Hold These Truths To Be Self Evident That All Men Are Created Equal”. The URL is https://blackbutterfly7.wordpress.com/ Most of what I blog concerns cases, but I also post words of encouragement, strength, and promote doing no evil. I do reblog and follow about 150 blogs right now, many that are poetry, cooking, and social issues.

    Thanks for this meet-up.

  5. Hi friends! Thank you Jacqueline for inviting me! I’m Jennifer and I’m in Germany right now, but I’m from the USA.
I have a blog for my store Heart’s Eye Necklaces at https://heartseyenecklaces.wordpress.com
I sell cosplay, anime, and crystal jewelry as a hobby!

I’m not very good at thought puzzles I’m afraid, so I made up a poem:
This Saturday is happy and bright
Was chillin on my sofa when I got an invite!
Jacqueline, the blogging queen, said please come out to play
    Today
So I did! And I wrote this poem! Yay! πŸ™ƒπŸŒΉβœ¨

      2. I like to inspire and lift up people, so I have a daily grateful post that I do. I also love to write poems so I post poems from time to time or songs. I am enduring menopause right now so my original plan for my blog was to write entertaining stories about my “episodes” that occur since I’ve started going thru this, like how I go to 1000 degrees in seconds flat, I can turn into a raving lunatic for about 10 minutes and then be calm as a cucumber after that….or just fun stories of everyday life! I enjoy it. I love you jewelry! I asked on one of your posts, do you make it? I bet you’re looking forward to moving back home!! πŸ™‚

  6. Yes! I made it back in time for the party! My music request is something by Seal. Anything, please. He is so intense and emotional, kind of like my latest post. Sometimes I have to struggle with my feelings to get to acceptance. This leads in to my latest post: http://pamelascanepa.wordpress.com/2016/05/28/the-stamped-addressed-envelope/ Nonetheless, it is a beautiful afternoon and I will now go and either take a walk with or dance with my dog!

Funny you say that about the Robin, they made a nest behind the wreath hanging on my front door and today was the first day it was empty, I’ve been hearing them chirping for about a month and when I did not hear anything today I checked it and they were gone. I’ll be by later for a visit!! Have fun in the meantime… πŸ™‚

  9. Fun party to celebrate the “unofficial” beginning of summer — Memorial Day — here in the US. I’m Judith, and I have a lot of different interests, so it’s always fun to check out new blogs. I spend most of my days drawing and painting, so if you’re interested in art I hope you’ll visit “Artistcoveries” to follow along on my journey as I explore different media in art. https://artistcoveries.wordpress.com/

  11. Oh my! I thought I was not going to make the party…after posting my grateful post about the internet today, it decided to go out on me all day! Then when it finally came back up my computer kept acting up with the “Critical Error about Start Menu” in Windows 10…Apparently this is being experienced by a lot of people…I watched a few Youtube videos to try and fix it but I finally got my computer up on it’s own for now…I shall try the instructions later…so mentally exhausted I hastily made my way here to treat myself to some More Interesting Stuff, followed by the Creamy and Decadent and washed it all down with a Mocktail!! My, my Jackie once again everything was delicious and refreshing…Thank you once again for playing hostess…I know how much work this is to put together and you always go above and beyond….that’s why I knew I MUST pop in to visit with everyone which is what I’m on my way to do now!!! xo

  13. Once again, Jacqueline you’re having an amazing party and I am pleased to be here. For everyone whos reading this at the minute, I am called ThePassionatePsychopath and I write about science. Not the Discover-Science-level Science but the truth behind fascinating-stuff-science. I am terrible at poetry so I am not gonna try and continue that beautiful piece, but I tried hard to find the differences in the pictures. To much disappointment, I only found one which is the bucket being filled with sand in the one on the left. I was off blogging for almost a month as I had a lot of uni work to do (closer to summer, higher student pressure 😦 ) but I am back now and I’d love to see some new faces on my blog (who doesn’t love new people πŸ˜€ ) Heres a link to my post from this afternoon, hope you like it πŸ™‚

Good to meet you folks. Sorry to be dropping by on the way to my shower. Give me some clean up time then maybe I can meet some of you at your place.

Since I’m out of the shower now I can return your hug without leaving dirty hand prints. It is always comforting to find friends at these parties. And they are wonderful places to find new folks. Hope for many friends to follow you.

And right now, my β€œSecret Admirer” fiction seems to be well-loved – it is in progress, new β€˜chapters’ every Friday.

If you’d like to stop by and read, here is the first post (part 1) of that story:
