Summery Blog Party Live Link…Come on in!πŸ˜ŠπŸ™ŒπŸŽ‘πŸŽΆπŸŽΌπŸπŸ•πŸ‘

Merry

Come on in, let’s get this party started. You are most welcome.

Do make yourself comfortable.

Refreshments are nicely arranged down the page: Drinks, Chocolates, Cakes, Donuts, freshly squeezed juice, Coffee, Tea and so much more. :-)

We even have an Intercontinental Chef in the house, just place your ordersπŸ˜‰

The little rules of play:

  1. You must mix and mingle with others. Don’t be a wallflower. Go say hello to someone and you can participate in the Tag a poem/story below, spot the difference, riddle and do tell us where you are partying from πŸ™‚
  2. Β Please leave your blog link or post link in the comment box below along with an introduction.
  3. It’s one link per comment, but come back as often as you’d like, that way it’s easier to focus on a link at a time for others.
  4. Please reblog, spread the word of the party like butter, or like, share on Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Facebook, etc. Tell your family, friends, Β blogging neighbours, even your blogging pets.
  5. Have fun, it’s a great way to find bloggers and have them find you.
  6. Please show some love. Reblog this post. It helps all of us! The more people that see and participate in it, the more potential new follows! So, share and share voraciously!

There we have it. Since all the rules have been clearly explained, have fun and make the most of it :-)

Thank you for coming to my party and supporting my blog. You rock.

  • Let’s get to know you better. Where are you partying from?

I’m currently in Dubai – acronym DXB. A fabulous desert city in United Arab Emirates.

A little Summer tale…

We wore Summer dresses

spun like flower coloured cotton

that sat on each stalk

…….Feel free to add yours in the comment. I collate everyone’s contribution and publish it with their links attached.

Can you spot the difference?

Can you help the poor farmer below?

A poor farmer went to the market to sell some peas and lentils. However, as he had only one sack and didn’t want to mix peas and lentils, he poured in the peas first, tied the sack in the middle, and then filled the top portion of the sack with the lentils.

At the market, a rich innkeeper happened by with his own sack. He wanted to buy the peas, but he did not want the lentils.
Pouring the seed anywhere else but the sack is considered soiling.

To trade in sacks is not allowed. The farmer can’t cut a hole in his sack.
How would you transfer the peas to the innkeeper’s sack, which he wants to keep, without soiling the produce?

Please have some fun, mingle and make friends. Thank you πŸ™‚

P.S. You can send in your music request and I’ll try to find it. The Michael Jackson is on Nedoux request. Thank you, girl.

  1. Hi Jacqueline, thanks for the invite to this party. I live in Australia, east coast above Sydney….
I have been blogging for about 3 years on WP. I love the challenges of addressing creative creative writing prompts. I write about what my heart says is the place to go. I will share one piece with you:

Prompt Nights – Rain showers my spirit and waters my Soul

My blog is called morpethroad, which is where i live. My url is summerstommy who are two characters I created way back when I was exploring aspects of myself, thankfully I addressed that part of me and have moved on though occasionally they do emerge in a piece of writing as characters I use to address a concept I may be exploring. Exploring ideas is what I love to do, you never know where they might take you.

    Summer Tale

    Despite the oppressive heat
the need to hide from the burning rays
    I slide over to you
we chat about the we that we are
we know soon it will cool
    the beach will invite us
    to walk through the break
hold hands and be young again.

  2. Awesome party, JACQUELINE! I am partying from the U.S. and really enjoying the Merry-go-round, the wine, and the fabulous shrimp scampi! As for my music request … how about some Quincy Jones? Love his music! I found the difference in the picture … it’s the sun, of course. However, if the farmer cannot cut his sack, then I am at a loss to help him. 😦

If anyone feels inclined to come visit my blog, I would certainly love to see you http://jilldennison.com/2016/05/28/on-president-obamas-visit-to-hiroshima/ … although I don’t know why anybody would want to leave this party! Thanks for the invite … I am having a great time! Think I will go snag a piece of that cheesecake over there …

  3. Hey! Like always, you create a space that is so loving and welcoming. I want to post my newest blog and it is a letter to my narcissistic mother. I am from Haiti and have been blogging for several years. I’m an adoption consultant and you can follow me on twitter (@noomaconsulting) or facebook (Nooma Consulting)

An open letter to my narcissistic adoptive mom who disowned me for speaking up

Can I spot the difference? Yes!
photo on the left has 2 birds, photo on the right has 3
boy on the left in the chair is drinking from a cup with a straw and a cover, boy on the right is drinking from a regular cup with a straw, no cover but a lime.
bucket on the left does not have sand in it, bucket on the right does
sun on the left has different glasses than sun on the right

Hi everyone, I’m Vanessa, blogging from a bit north of Chicago at https://vanessence.wordpress.com/. Nice to meet you all! πŸ™‚

    A little Summer tale…

    We wore Summer dresses

    spun like flower coloured cotton

that sat on each stalk …

    The sun kissed our tresses

    And kindled our thoughts on

Where to rest our toes from our walk

I’m dying to know how the poor farmer up there figured out the solution! I would just have the innkeeper buy another sack, put the lentils in that, then pour the peas into the innkeepers sack, then pour the lentils back in the farmers sack. But, I suspect that is not the solution to the riddle!

What a great party, thank you for having me!

Now, for a little bit about myself…

Hello, everyone πŸ™‚ I'm NJ from njsays.wordpress.com, living in a terribly hot city called Mumbai (India). I'm pretty new to writing although I've been writing on and off now for a few years. Or maybe I should say I'm new to blogging even though I've been doing so for two years. Hmmm, confusing! Anyway… it's always, always fun meeting so many fantastic writers around the world πŸ™‚ It's lovely to meet you all!

  8. Jacqueline, you sure do know how to throw a party! All those refreshments, I might be here for a while, and with all these bloggers, I know I will! This is blog gold! Very kind of you to offer your blog up for this wild bash! Thank you so much!
My name is Donna, I live in Canada, in almost the southern-most tip (basically we’re in America if the borders had been a straight line). It’s feeling super hot right now, but I bet that’s nothing compared to Dubai.
I blog about my life, my observations of life, pop culture, books, movies, TV, politics, health, food, well, a bit of everything with a lot of fun. Drop by, stay a spell, you may never want to leave – if you get lost in my archives, just send up a flare, I’ll come and get you. lol πŸ˜‰
I answer every comment (and that’s saying something, last I looked we were well into 6 digits plus), and usually share and follow those who visit – I love making new blogger friends! πŸ™‚
    Here’s my latest post https://yadadarcyyada.com/2016/05/25/crapathy/
Thanks, hope this weekend is treating you all well. Now I’m off to mingle, much, and share. πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you, Donna for coming to the party. It’s always lovely to have you. Lest I forget, when do you normally host yours? I think it’s every two weeks if I’m correct? It’s quite steaming this way right now so Canada should be a tad cooler than here πŸ™‚

  11. Hi, everyone, popping in for the second day. I see the party is still going strong and noticed a lot of additions and familiar faces.

I failed to mention yesterday that I’m blogging from the icy tundra of northern Utah. πŸ˜€ Okay, it’s not the icy tundra but it’s been especially cold this year. It’s almost June and it hasn’t reached an average day-to-day temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit. I still have to wear a jacket and wrap myself in a blanket while watching TV. Anyway, I’ll go enjoy the party now and maybe try some dancing.

  12. Woohooo. Jumping over the suitcases and wading through the clothes strewn everywhere I made it to the party πŸ˜€ And for the benefit of everyone wondering, what in the world I am talking about, we are just making a short term move to NYC and the packing for that is going on. πŸ˜€ But I must say when Jacqueline is hosting a party, how can you miss it πŸ˜‰
Soo heylooow all awesome people in the party. You can visit my little corner of the blogosphere here.

  15. Oh boy this party is banging isn’t it. Well, the reason I am back again is because earlier this morning someone introduced me to the concept of Type A and Type B personality, and when I looked up online I did not find a lot of literature to assist my understanding. So I been reading in the library all afternoon to come up with a post of my own which explains the same(atleast I tried to :p ). And I couldn’t think of a better place to get to know new people and the personality type they classify themselves in πŸ˜€
