Flitting like a fly….

Walking[1]

I always enjoy taking a brisk stroll
it always gives me a rejuvenating thrill.
An uplifting exercise that may go uphill
depending on the land it may go downhill.
It beats the huff and puffing on the treadmill
and popping all those odious pain kills.

It’s an opportunity to appreciate nature
the awesome work of the Great Creator.
To say hello to the neighbour
or take a peek at a new feature.
My stroll is never as the crow flies
with lots of curious detours, I flit like a fly.

  1. sounds like my kind of walk 🙂 I too prefer walking outdoors to the treadmill. At least when you’re walking, you actually get somewhere and I find that adds to the sense of accomplishment, especially when you combine walking for the fun of it (and the exercise too) with errands. 🙂

      1. Me too 🙂 I always walk outside no matter the weather. The more inclement the weather, the better that glow of accomplishment feels when I’ve finished my walk 🙂
