It’s been a trying moment and I am trying hard not to scream…

It’s been a blog challenging, two days to say the least and definitely not amusing.

Having my blog harassed by malicious attempts or whatever, is not something I anticipated dealing with this week and for some good moments, I’ve been made to question and ask what if?

What if I woke up and my almost 1,200 posts have gone poof into thin air?

How will I take it?

I believe I will be hopping mad! I believe all my righteous indignation juices will overflow zealously and my write mode will go into overdrive.

So, after all, said and done and while WP happiness engineers are trying to restore my happy blog to robust health, I am thankful for friends who were concerned enough to reach out and send messages notifying me of the anomaly.

They didn’t run off scared throwing me to the dogs. Now that is called friendship.

I am thankful that I am not yet screaming myself blue in the face and throwing colourful strings of curses. Phew!! It felt good to say that.

It’s all good. I’ll just take a chill and have some cardamon tea while it takes whenever to get things back to square zero.

  1. Hi Jackie,

I just noticed the issue, I tried to read this post directly on your site and I saw a red page pop up with a warning about attackers. I had to go back and view the post via the WP reader feeds page.

Haba! How did this happen? That’s so awful . I wonder why anyone would tamper with another person’s blog, to what end? Biko!

I’m so sorry that this happened, don’t worry, your posts will be safe, I trust the WP engineers to sort this out. Please stay calm, it will be fine soon.

    *Big Hug* 🙂

    1. I have no idea what, how, which and all the why’s but then there are those who do such nonsense for the fun of it. Thankfully, between WordPress and google, it’s been resolved. Thanks love 🙂

    1. I have tried so many things and jumped through a thousand hoops of instructions sent by WordPress. Let’s see how it goes. They say sometimes it takes 72 hours to more to sort out such issues because it could also involve external third parties like google.

  2. I’m sorry Jacque, you had to go through this. Hope it will be sorted soon. I’m having issues with my blog too (nothing malicious) but blog functions that are not work properly:(

  3. Nice that wordpress helps you. My e-book just went out of print because WordPress blocks search engine access, so that all traffic is word of mouth, and requires information of non WordPress guests in order to like or comment on anything, signing them up for WordPress. It may be ok with you, or you may be afraid to speak, since you think they have you in their power, but I just lost a work that took seven years to write and a few months to self publish. I may try again, but I doubt if I will go to the trouble for word-of-mouth press. We hope Jackie’s excellent stuff re-appears, and the perpetrator caught if it is not accidental.
