FRAUDULENCE AND ATTEMPT TO OBTAIN BY PRETENSE!

It always makes me chortle seriously when I receive such spam mail with all sorts of enticing figures and ridiculous promises from total strangers. They’ve simply chosen the wrong customer.

It actually makes me wonder who the fools and unfortunate souls who fall for these scams are? They are GREEDY people!

Why would anyone become the beneficiary of huge sums of money out of the blues, when it’s not the open national lottery?

It’s only greed that will make a human want to harvest where they never sowed. It’s only avarice that will make a fool fall for scams that are as old as time.

People should beware of such mail. Don’t click or ever respond to it. Send it forever to the trash and don’t let the creep out.

I receive several each week and overlook them, but it dawned on me that so many poor, unassuming humans have fallen into such pit of rattlesnakes.

Below is a copy and paste of one of such mail.

Hello my dear,

This is to bring to your notice the resolution of our recently
concluded Joint Committee meeting with the United Nations Secretary
General (Ban Ki-moon) and the World Bank Group President ( Jim Yong
Kim) with Agenda focused on investigating the unnecessary delay of
international withheld payments which was previously approved.
The Joint Committee discovered with great dismay that
your name with this email address is on the list of beneficiaries
whose payment has not been paid and unnecessarily delayed by corrupt
officials of the Banks in Africa.

Following series of complain to the UN Secretary General (Ban Ki-moon
) over the discrepancies by Banks which has made it impossible for

cooperation to avoid undue delays or further hitches.

Be advised you STOP all further communications with everyone regarding
this payment and keep this communication highly confidential to avoid
interception of information that might lead to double claim or loss of
any part of your approved daily payment as scheduled.

  5. This particular message is very innovative and seems like a well researched one- with UN meetings, Ban Ki moon and so on. I mean, may have been a knowledgeable chap or chappie for that matter.

      1. Yeah Jackie, imagine. He/she was so intent on baiting that he spent a lot of time and resources really trying to authenticate his claims. I must salute his creativity and yours, for not falling prey. 🙂

  7. The “victims” are no fools because all these scam emails have wrongdoing written all over them yet people “fall” for them. I’ve always been on the side of “if you ain’t greedy, these scammers will never get you.”
    They call you up to tell you you’ve won a lottery you did not play and you fall for that? They want to transfer money from the bank account of a dead person to yours and you agree to that? Looking to reap where you did not sow much? 😀 😀

  8. Those emails do make me laugh also. Beyond it just being the greedy who fall for those kind of scams though, it’s also the desperate (heavily in debt for financial ones, deeply lonely if dating ones) & the vulnerable (either old people who aren’t that tech savvy & fall for the “Calling from Windows about your PC. It has a virus” scams or people with mental illnesses etc). So I have mixed emotions about them I guess. Part amusement & part frustration/anger.

  13. This is such a shame!! My mother received s phone call recently from one of these starting with “this is the Internal Revenue Service and we’ve been trying to find you..” She hung up so hard I think that person’s ear is still ringibg. She has one of those old fashioned, heavy duty phones:)

    Those scam mails amuse me more than they annoy me. I wonder how anyone can fall for such long-winded fairy tales.

    I agree with you, it is pure greed that removes the spirit of discernment from one who seeks to reap from where they did not sow. That is the only way one can fall for such nonsense, or does money now grow on trees?

      1. When you stop to think about it though, this is a lesson that we each have to learn. In this lifetime they are learning what it is like to be a victim. It is difficult sometimes but we cannot judge a path we do not walk. We can be there to help and support if we can but everyone must walk their path alone.
