Sweet Indulgence…

Honey sweet words you whispered to me,

In anticipation, they tickle me to my bones.

Pupils dilated, eyelashes flutter,

In deep sigh of sated, sweet affection,

The burst of sugary sensation,

Hits the right nerve centres.

It’s a chocolate dream.

  1. It was not until I was about to finish this poem that I saw the cake…first i was thinking: gosh, how romantic…I am not a chocolate lover but now I want cake, especially if it is to be served on the heels of words like these 🙂 Beautiful writing, Jacqueline!

  2. Aaaaaaah! That piece of chocolate is perfection, looks so succulent, so moist, so scrumptious, I can almost taste it . Oh! This post-christmas diet is hard. XD

I, sometimes, hum with pleasure when eating delicious food.

    Have a great week.
