Crystal Meth…

A fascination of the Stars it held,

Purported to pleasure he heard,

Hope he keeps away from the Meth.

PLEASE NOTE! ‘The usage of crystal methamphetamine is dangerous.’

This is my first time participating in ‘Ronovan Writes Weekly Haiku Prompt Challenge‘ with the prompt words, ‘crystal’ and ‘hope.’

  1. I have never heard of haiku. I don’t think it is easy to create one. I wouldn’t for the life of me know what to write with hope and crystal. You have done a great job.

      1. Such an evocative poem and image. I was addicted to cocaine and alcohol, I’m just coming up to 11 years clean, but I’ve never taken crystal meth. I have to say I find the picture in this post quite tantalizing – it looks so pure like icicles and I’ve never done it – always an attractive prospect for any addict. Luckily I don’t mix with people who do Class A drugs any more as, even after 11 years of sobriety, I’m not sure how I would react if people started racking up lines in front of me. And now all my other addictions, bulimia, shopping, OCD are in recovery as well I have never been so happy. http://bit.ly/1ER5cLY

      2. Wow! Just wow! My hands are pumping in respect for you Caroline. 11 years and you’ve kept away. That is such good news and shows that it can be done. You are better off without such friends *excuse me* they should not be classified as friends. Thank you very much for sharing your testimony. My regards.

  2. Hi Jackie,

I am reminded of the hit TV series “Breaking Bad”. I love how the show adds a dramatic back story to the Crystal Meth industry.

Addictions offer false promises of bliss.
