In my opinion, the dish washing machine producers simply didn’t think the production of this useful apparatus through when they were making it, except they indirectly created an automated cupboard for washed crockery.
It is really tiresome to engage in loading plates and off loading plates, then using the same plates within hours of washing and offloading and the hamster cycle continues.
My plates seem to live in the dishwasher more often than not except my fine china, which is brought out for auspicious August visitors and I dare say, that this is the case in a lot of homes.
With my tongue in my cheek, I know several African friends of mine whose dishwashers are mere items to decorate the kitchen and only put to use once in a while.
As a matter of fact, we actually end up washing the dishes ourselves and putting them on a plate rack to dry. Less trouble that way.
In that light, I am embarking on reinventing the dishwasher with an assistant attached to do the loading and offloading. Not that I am much of an inventor 😉
Who knows, I might come up with a fangled sophisticated new plate loader and off-loader.
Please queue up for your own limited edition of this one-in-town apparatus.
You can put down your name below, with required specifications and preferred colour 🙂
It’s first come, first serve basis!

My wife hides all of her canning equipment in the dishwasher. I have no doubt that all my water hoses have rotted it has been so long since we’ve used that thing.

I am sure she is too fed up with bringing it out and putting it back 😉

Sign me up! My kids will soon be gone, and then who will empty it. 😉

Ha! I know precisely what you mean. My kids are equally responsible for this duty and that’s the only reason why it’s been manageable. You are hereby signed up 😉

Gosh! I’ve always thought the same! When I visited my relatives who had a dishwasher, I just felt like getting done with it immediately, rather than go through the entire process of rinse, load, unload! 🙂

I tell you, it is a tiresome process! When the plates are few, we just wash ourselves, rinse and keep. Less time consuming and less stress.

I would be SO HAPPY if I had a dishwasher! For four years I have been hand-washing every single flipping dish and utensil. It is getting very old!!

Between you and I, I don’t enjoy washing dishes. Cooking the food is far more fun for me:-)

Thank you my lady. They are really handy machines. It just the offloading and unloading part that I don’t enjoy.

I found in spite of prevention actions by the daily prompt people. I have a dish washer since at least 30 years, actually I now have my fourth. Emptying the dish washer is absolutely no problem. I have a patent Mr. Swiss who is very good at it. Rarely it is done by Mrs. Angloswiss, but only if the Mr. Swiss patent solution is absent. I am proud of my Mr. Swiss, he does it perfectly and I always tell him, to ensure that he does not lose the knack.

You lucky lady. Mr Swiss sounds like a very good patent. We must extend our respects to him and maybe he can give me homegrown tips on how to teach mine to get the knack 😉

I’m a hand washer as well….only because my dishwasher doesn’t clean as well as I do! I try and cheat a lil by using paper plates and silverware as often as possible!! A better dishwasher is most definitely needed so you’re on the right track!

Ha,ha! I cheat too with those paper plates. They really come in handy lady T. Let me get to work on it 😉

When you done, please work on a bot to fold clothes. I do not mind washing dishes by hand when I am home alone but folding clothes is just so urgh…

Indians have a voice-operated dishwasher who automatically does the dishes twice a day. They call it the kaam-wali bai (maid who works.)

I won’t need one now that you are sending Jeeves to me. Wasn’t that his name? Anyway that fellow that you are teaching to do foot massage before he comes. The dishes can wait.

Too funny, I just thought to myself today..how big does a dishwasher need to be so I don’t have to empty it all the time? Thanks for the laughs!
